The delicate skin around our eyes deserves some gentle TLC in the form of organic and natural eye creams.

We’re all for natural ingredients that nourish, protect, smooth, and soothe, but toxic chemicals make our eyes water, so we’re showing the door to formaldehyde, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and other ingredients to avoid in skincare.

Fortunately, a growing number of organic eye cream brands see eye to eye with us on that.

And in coming months, we’ll be seeking out even more using our new Brand Rating System. This new system expands our beauty criteria from five to a whopping 22, adding things like biodiversity impacts and carbon reduction action to the usual ingredient and packaging concerns. To learn more about this new methodology, see here.

We independently research all featured brands and we ask them to confirm their claims. In many cases we personally review recommended products. This post contains affiliate links which means we may earn a commission if you buy something. Learn more here.

Shine Skincare Co’s Peptide Natural Eye Cream

Price Range: $32

We’re big fans of Californian brand Shine Skincare Co’s range of all-natural, performance skincare products, and the Peptide + Caffeine Eye Cream in a reusable tin has us positively buzzing.

Packed with powerhouse ingredients, including jojoba oil, evening primrose oil, goji berry extract, carrot seed oil, hyaluronic acid, and coffee extract, it’s the best natural dark circle eye cream we’ve found to date. It really does lighten those dark circles in the morning and smells divine.

What’s with the coffee? It turns out it’s not just for your morning cup of Joe but can help reduce puffiness, making it an essential part of our morning routine.

About Shine Skincare Co

Shine Skincare Co is here “to help you cultivate self love through self care”. Founder Kathleen spent several years researching the most effective natural ingredients and turning them into sustainable skincare products we can feel good about.

Everything is packaged and shipped using eco-friendly materials, and each purchase helps support the non-profit WEAVE and its work to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Although not added directly, some ingredients Kathleen uses contain a small percentage of ethically sourced palm oil.

One Love Organics’ Organic Firming Eye Cream

Price Range: $24–$49

For all the smoothing, firming, and hydrating qualities you need from an eye cream without any of the chemical nasties, One Love Organics’ Botanical E Eye Balm has you (or rather your delicate eye area) covered. Suitable for all skin types, it’s made with superhero ingredients like moisturizing organic shea butter and antioxidant seaweed, most of which are certified organic.

If you’re looking for an organic under eye cream, they also offer the Love + Eyebright natural eye serum, a lightweight, cooling formula for soothing tired eyes.

About One Love Organics

Butter Me Up Organics’ Organic Under Eye Cream

Price Range: $22–$30

Another contender for the best organic eye cream for dark circles, the Caffeinated Under Eye Balm from Butter Me Up Organics.

It’s made from 100% organic ingredients, including avocado oil, sweet almond oil, hemp seed oil, carrot seed essential oil, lavender essential oil, and shade-grown coffee. Sounds good enough to eat? That’s because the Butter Me Up motto is “Don’t put anything on your body that you wouldn’t put in it.”

Butter Me Up Organics also offers a Caffeinated Under Eye Serum with roller ball application and the Organic Face & Eye Serum, an all round wonder serum formulated to help with a range of concerns, dark circles and puffiness included. The latter contains sea buckthorn oil, coconut oil, vitamin e oil, and frankincense essential oil for a plant-powered performance.

About Butter Me Up Organics

A one-stop shop for organic and eco-friendly toiletries, this California-based brand has everything you need for face, body, and hair care, and baby products. Their ingredients are ethically and sustainably sourced, and all their products are certified cruelty-free.

Erleia.

Erleia’s Natural Under Eye Cream With Vitamin E

Price Range: $40

Erleia knows that the delicate skin around our eyes needs to be handled gently, so their Under Eye Balm is packed with nourishing and protective ingredients.

These include carrot extract and rosehip oil to help with puffiness, organic cocoa butter and shea butter to moisturize and protect, and vitamin E oil for getting rid of dark circles. Formulated to help with dark circles and fine lines, this organic anti-wrinkle eye cream comes packaged in a home compostable 1oz jar that lasts up to six months.

We love this mostly for use as a night eye cream. Because it is packed with plant oils, it has a bit of greasy texture, which absorbs perfectly overnight, but might hinder the longevity of your eye makeup if applied in the morning, if our experience is anything to go by.

About Erleia

Named in honor of the founder’s father, this woman-owned brand’s products are anhydrous (AKA waterless), so they create fewer emissions in production and transport/shipping than their water-based conventional counterparts. You won’t find any synthetic additives, fillers, fragrances, or preservatives, and all products are PETA-certified cruelty-free.

Everything is handmade in Denver, and we’re impressed with their zero waste skin care packaging, which includes compostable paper tubes with a plant-based wax lining and reusable and recyclable glass bottles.

100% Pure

100% Pure’s Natural Eye Cream USA

Price Range: $29–$52

100% Pure is one of our favorite sustainable make-up brands, but they also offer skincare products, including three eye creams and their Multi-Vitamin + Antioxidants PM Eye Treatment.

If you need something for puffiness (because who doesn’t cry themselves to sleep once in a while these days?), their Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream helps tackle puffiness and dark circles thanks to blood circulation-boosting caffeine from coffee and green tea. It’s also packed with antioxidants, vitamins and skin-nourishing ingredients, including rosehip oil and vanilla.

It’s also one of the best natural eye creams for fine lines, according to independent clinical trial results.

About 100% Pure

True to their name, 100% Pure is committed to non-toxic, clean beauty, and skincare products. We’re talking naturally derived pigments from things like cocoa, fruit, tea, and vegetables, high-quality plant oils, vitamins, and essential oils.

All products are vegan and cruelty-free, and they further show their love for animals and the planet by donating a bowl of vegan dog food for every order or planting a tree.

Nizzy Naturals

Nizzy Naturals’ Organic Eye Cream

Price Range: $21–$46

Nizzy Naturals’ Organic Under Eye Cream is free from harmful chemicals and synthetic fragrances and doesn’t contain any essential oils, either, making it perfect for sensitive skin.

Instead you’ll find a rich blend of nourishing plant butters and oils including mango butter, unrefined shea butter, and sea buckthorn seed oil—all organic, and all chosen to moisturize, refresh, restore.

About Nizzy Naturals

Harnessing the power of botanicals, the Under Eye Elixir from Moonrise Creek is made with herbal-infused almond oil, pomegranate oil, mullein oil, grapefruit seed extract, and a bespoke essential oil blend that will “tone, brighten, hydrate, tighten & reduce puffiness”. The vegan formula comes housed in an easy-to-apply glass roller bottle.

Moonrise Creek also offers a Botanical Eye Treatment jam-packed with healing plant oils, including evening primrose and grapeseed oil for the ultimate delicate eye area TLC. It’s best applied overnight but can be used during the day if desired.

About Moonrise Creek

Female-owned Moonrise Creek creates small-batch artisan skincare, makeup, and aromatherapy products using some of nature’s best ingredients. You’ll find natural face serums, natural toners, and much more, all of which are cruelty-free and largely come in eco-friendly glass containers.

Their mineral cosmetics range does contain titanium dioxide, iron oxides, and mica, though we’re not certain about their sourcing policies for these.
